Armed with an extensive religious history, The Church Brew Works is one of the remaining places in Pittsburgh where you can celebrate your Christianity. Although it may sound a bit funny, mixing beer with Church, they are an indication that all things can be harmonized. As a result, they have been able to receive several medals for their award winning beers.
Among the medals they have received are a Bronze Medal from the World Beer Cup 2000, a Silver Medal from the Great American Beer Festival 2000, and a recent Gold medal from the same competition in 2005.
Another thing that people love about The Church Brew Works is that it was once an old abandoned church which was transformed into a brewery.
