Abay Ethiopian Cuisine (pronounced as "uh-by") is the first Ethiopian restaurant in Pittsburgh which has been able to capture the real appetite and feel of the culture. At the same time, they have been able to grasp the cultural scenery of the city. Because of this distinct characteristic and their mouth watering dishes, they have been able to grace several magazines and newspapers since it first opened in 2004.
The proud owner of the restaurant, Jamie Wallace, hopes his creation can play a significant part in altering the impression of the city as lacking in diversity. And so far, Abay has not let down its residents.
